Interview with Belinda Pope from Bee Organised as we discuss her journey and how she got started offering much essential services such as Decluttering, Professional Organising & Concierge Services.

Bee, Welcome, Please tell us about Bee Organised and what inspired you to provide these services?

As a Professional Organiser I typically work with professionals, busy mums and small business owners. Their greatest challenges are being time poor and overwhelmed, and as a Mumpreneur, I totally get it. I help them by getting more organised at home and in business so they can focus on the more important things in life.

I also offer Concierge Services which is basically taking any tasks off your hands that you can’t do, don’t have time to do or just don’t want to do. This can free up so much of your precious time while you achieve great things that you enjoy doing.

To make sure you have all the right tools for the job, I have designed planners to keep you organised in all aspects of your business and in life.

What is unique about your business? How are you different to other businesses offering similar services?

At first people think as a Professional Organiser I will be militant, dry and boring…and that I am not hehe. My motto in life is to have fun in all that you do and if it’s not fun, make it fun! I suppose this is evident when I work with busy families on a decluttering and organising assignment. We dance, we play games while the kids get to task, we role play how we can carry out more organised practices in the family routines, and then the kids and parents voluntarily report back to me with their progress and are proud of their achievements. It also helps having my teaching background and being a busy mum myself.

It is also important to me to spark joy and happiness wherever I go so with my planners that I have designed, I know that each person that I work with is enjoying the progress towards their success each and everyday.

Please tell us about your journey

As a busy mum of three, trying to survive the daily grind through demands of the children, the household, relationships, finances, work, health, well being and the awful ‘mothers guilt’ associated with being a mum, there came a time where treading water became more like sinking. And unfortunately I hear this same story all too often.

There came a point where something had to change. I reflected on all of the things that were holding me back from being the fun, vibrant, energetic person and mum I wanted to be. It started with Decluttering! Decluttering the house of so much ‘stuff’ that can take so much of your time to clean up each day. Decluttering the mind space of all of the must do this, must do that, still haven’t done this and why can’t I do it all… Then came the goal planning, schedule, routine, positive habits and meal planning etc. Finally I felt a massive weight lift off my shoulders. I could breathe! I could feel joy again! I had time and energy for my kids and relationships. I then realized, I could share this process with others to bring them the same joy, freedom and time to spend on the more important things in life. Helping people is what I love to do!

I have travelled the country with my previous job, changing young people’s lives and making a real difference in this world. I also ran a catering business on the side at the same time, because I just can’t sit still. Until I fell pregnant with twins, and crazily had another baby less than two years later! So why not start another business now?! I love a challenge and I just love love love helping people. I wanted to help other busy people feel the freedom, success and joy that I discovered just by changing a few simple things in their life. We all deserve it, it’s just sometimes hard to see it when we are so tired, so drained and giving so much to everyone else around us except ourselves.

Your vision for your business in the coming years…

In the next few years Bee Organised will have a team of Professional Organisers working to help change the lives, and give the gift of time to as many busy people as possible in WA and possibly around the country with our Decluttering, Professional Organising, Concierge Services and Planners.

You will see some amazing workshops coming your way and maybe even a retreat. I want to make sure all of you busy people get to take some much deserved time out for yourselves and help you on your journey to success in life, your business and your journey to self.

You will see me speaking on stage and around the country, empowering people and giving you the gift of time.

In the future I hope to be the Ambassador for Glad. Haha I just love all things that Glad do with Zip Lock bags being my favourite! A key tool for organising spaces. There, I have put it out there universe…let’s see what the future holds!

What is one thing that you would need right now that will propel you/your business to the next level?

Changing peoples’ mindset that it is strength to ask for help and to outsource more so they can free themselves up to live life to the fullest!
